Welcome to Ultraground.
We're excited to share the final tooth of a rezoning for multifamily in southwest Burlington with you. While this meeting may be short, the entitlements for the project date back to April 25th. We've done some digging to bring you all the details.

Brian and Darren Lucas, the founders of Lucas Building and Development, rezoned their final piece of land for apartments. With the help of Brown Investments, the brothers rezoned the property and plan to handle every aspect of the project themselves, from development to management.
The Lucas brothers have a successful track record, with a portfolio of 500-1000 units in Myrtle Beach, South Charlotte, and Rock Hills, SC. At the April 25th Planning and Zoning commission meeting, Darren Lucas mentioned that the team will follow Burlington's ordinance on architectural finishes, which was recently updated on December 6, 2022. Despite not presenting an "artist's rendition" at the meeting, the Lucas brothers are confident in their ability to bring this project to life.

This project was approved because the area is planned for Regional Commercial, and multifamily is complementary to that use.
